The Arrival of the King

Have you ever watched Jesus do something that didn't make sense? A prayer goes unanswered. A situation gets worse instead of better. His timing feels off. His methods feel strange. The crowd on Palm Sunday had the same experience. They watched Jesus ride into Jerusalem on a donkey (not a war horse) and thought they understood what He was doing. They were wrong. Within five days, confusion turned to outrage, and "Hosanna!" became "Crucify!" What went wrong? How could people so close to Jesus, people serving Him, praising Him, and listening to Him, miss what He was actually doing?
