Truth on Trial

It is the middle of the night in Jerusalem, and the most respected religious leaders in Israel have gathered in the high priest's house. They have studied the Scriptures all their lives, and the man standing before them claims to be the one those Scriptures promised. Before the night is over, they will call him a blasphemer and spit in his face. How could the people who knew God's Word best reject the one it pointed to?
