Standing Trial, Standing Firm

Oct 12, 2025    John White

In a Caesarean courtroom, two men faced each other across an impossible divide. One wore chains and faced potential execution. The other wore the purple of Rome and held absolute power over life and death. Yet when the gospel was preached about righteousness, self-control, and coming judgment, something shocking happened: the man in chains spoke with complete freedom while the man on the throne trembled in fear. Felix had everything the world calls power but was enslaved by his guilty conscience, while Paul had nothing but freedom because his conscience was clear before God.

This week, we will discover how maintaining a God-fearing conscience breaks the chains of fear that enslave the disobedient, bringing supernatural liberation even in the darkest circumstances.
